*Yawn* Even I could do that from 35 yards.


Oscar Rojas broke Mexico’s deadlock with Trinidad & Tobago (can’t you just choose one name and stick to it) with this spectacular shot from about 35 yards out. An impressive shot because he was able to keep the ball below the crossbar while placing it in the upper 90. Mexico won this World Cup qualifier 2-1, dashing the hopes of T&T and forcing them to look even further into the future for a possible chance at the WC in 2016.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am in NO WAY cheering for Mexico, but with the lack of good football being played by the US, it’s refreshing to see such a beautiful goal in a CONCACAF qualifier.

Damn, I can’t wait till next Summer.
